Here is my new model : a VTUAV : a Vertical Take-off UAV. It's so little at 1/72 scale ! It's a Northrop Grumman MQ-8B Firescout, already operational with US Navy.

This helicopter was first studied in 2000. It's derived from the Schweizer 333, a litlle two-seat civil helicopter. This type of machine is very useful because you can use it from small ship deck and you need no airfield.
It can be equipped with old Hellfire missiles, but also with the newly GBU-44 Viper Strike and with APKWS Hydra 70 missiles.
The first examples are already operational. First deployement are in 2010 in Afghanistan. They are also used with success in Libya in 2011 unless one machine was shoot.
US Navy operates about ten machines but they are waiting for much more, about 160.

This is a new resin 1:72 scale model kit from Attack Squadron (Poland), designed in 3D- technique, and 3D printed. It's simply outstanding. For me, it's my best resin kit I have ever made.
It's realy a great kit. Parts are perfectly casted. Everything fits together well. I used no putty.

Very easy building. Very well enginered. Once again, I used no putty at all. Photoech are also very nice and fit well. Everything is easy. It's only difficult because it's so little !!
The paint options are not complicated. If you don't choose the EAU option (it's only a prototype), all the machine are grey. I choosed the Gunze H308 for the grey FS36375. For all the details, I used the building of Piotr Dmitruk as a model !! It's a great artist and you can find his article on ARC, Aeroscale and Scale-Rotor.
Decals are from Techmod. Very thin. And very little too. Once again, it's difficult to set on because these stencils are very very little.
All the building is there.
Everything is fun with this model. And it's now my 6th UAV model : a Predator, a Reaper, a GNAT750, a Global Hawk and a X-47B !!!

"It's very little !!" says this Lego Star Wars Republic Commando !!!
